Medasys and Scali partner to offer HPC cluster solutions in France

Oslo (Norway)/Paris (France), May 29 2002: Medasys and Scali today announced that Medasys has selected Scali's clustering software products and services for its product line of High Performance Clustering solutions on the French market; the brands "Brick" and "Gallion".

Scali will provide Medasys with current and future Scali clustering software products, including training and support for Medasys' engineering and service organizations. The agreement calls for Medasys to promote Scali clustering software products packaged in the "Brick" and "Gallion" solutions.

"Joining forces with Medasys will strengthen our marketing and sales capabilities and open parts of the French HPC clustering market for a direct approach by a player with local knowledge, deep HPC expertise and wide network in different industries, universities and research centers in France", said Asgeir Ringdal, International Sales Manager for Scali. "Linux clustering is a proven technology, and the software products delivered by Scali comprise a comprehensive system for cluster management that meets our requirements for High Performance Clustering solutions ", said Bernard Rannou, Managing Director for the Linux department at Medasys ("ALCA").
