Aspen Systems Releases v2.0 of Aspen Beowulf Cluster (ABC) Management Software

Wheat Ridge, Colorado, June 19, 2003 Aspen Systems, Inc., a world leader in the custom design, manufacture and service of a wide array of Linux(R)-based high-performance computing solutions, announced today the release of version 2.0 for their turnkey, browser-based software management system, Aspen Beowulf Cluster (ABC) Management Software. ABC 2.0 is built on the foundation of the currently successful ABC 1.2.

Aspen Systems has expanded ABC 2.0 to include the following capabilities:

· Supports AMD Opteron(TM) processors
· SSL enabled access
· Shadow copy/restore capabilities
· Diskless node configuration, administration and management
· Expanded plugins
· New splash screen
· Support for heterogeneous cluster nodes
· Expanded e-mail notification for downed nodes and system traps
· Multiple temperature scale support
· Expanded node self-reporting statistics such as:
   - CPU speed
   - Processor model
   - Motherboard type
   - Available memory
· Node monitoring reports individual CPU loads in addition to an aggregated CPU load
· Expanded package management functionality
· Poller enhancements
· SNMP trap rendering sort and database purge capabilities
· Simplified installation
