Atípa Technologies presents Monaco Intel® Itanium® 2 Processor-based Series Servers

Atípa Technologies announced the release of its Monaco line of Intel® Itanium® 2-based series servers. The new line of servers will be based on the Intel® SR870BH2 2-way platform and the Intel® SR870BN4 4-way platform. The Monaco Series 2 Server is based on the newly released SR870BH2 platform with up to two Intel Itanium 2 6MB L3 Cache processors in a 2U rack-optimized form factor. The Monaco Series 4 Servers use the SR870BN4 platform integrating 3MB of L3 Cache in a compact 4U rack-optimized chassis. Both the Monaco Series 2 and Monaco Series 4 Servers are targeted at diverse applications that demand performance, availability, and reliability. “Atipa is extremely pleased with the new server products developed by Intel.” stated Bret Stouder, Director of Atípa technologies. “Providing the research and educational communities with this type of computational power is a move in a positive direction for Atipa clientele.”
