IBM releases Edge-Computing Toolkit for WebSphere Studio
Posted by David, Thursday November 13 2003 @ 02:27PM EST
The Edge-Computing Toolkit is a toolkit for WebSphere Studio that simplifies development, testing, and deployment of Web applications for the Akamai EdgeComputing. Applications designed for the Akamai EdgeComputing service adhere to the standard Web programming model of J2EE (Servlets and JavaServer Pages), but the distributed nature of Akamai's platform implies additional steps for testing and deployment. Those additional steps can be carried out manually, but a developer's experience is improved with this integrated solution.
