INGETUR Invests in MSC.Software’s MSC.MasterKey License System
Posted by Staff, Tuesday January 20 2004 @ 01:24PM EST

MSC.Software Corp.the leading global provider of virtual product development (VPD) products including simulation software and services, today announced that INGETUR, a fully owned subsidiary of EHN, has invested in MSC.Software’s MSC.MasterKey License System for the design and development of wind turbines. The MSC.MasterKey License System gives MSC.Software customers worldwide the ability to take advantage of the breadth and depth of MSC.Software’s portfolio within a flexible licensing system, allowing them to use whatever MSC.Software simulation tools they want, whenever they need them.

“We have worked hard in the second half of 2003 to enhance our regional and vertical reseller and agent relationships, especially in Europe,” said Frank Perna, chairman and CEO of MSC.Software. “The MSC.Software MasterKey System is a powerful offering for our resellers, who can sell the entire breadth and depth of the MSC.Software product portfolio to small and medium-sized companies who are looking for ways to solve product development challenges.”

“Technological development is one of the priorities of the EHN group, given the improvements in performance that can be achieved in the renewable energy sector,” says Eduardo Azanza, Chief CAE Engineer. “With the help of ANALISIS y SIMULACION and MSC.Software, we have been able to introduce virtual product development to the R&D process for windmills. The use of MSC.Software’s VPD tools has helped us tremendously with the development of our new products, and Germanischer Lloyd, the official certification authority for windmills, has approved our methodology based on MSC.Software products for the complete product lifecycle. With the MSC.MasterKey License System, we expect to take full advantage of all the new capabilities of products such as MSC.Nastran 2004, MSC.Robust Design, and MSC.ADAMS, in a cost effective way.”

"We are very excited to have a company like EHN committing their product development investments towards MSC.Software and the MSC.MasterKey License System," said Emilio Mencia, country manager of MSC.Software in Spain. "We are proud to have strengthened our relationship with EHN through our agent ANALISIS Y SIMULACION, and I'm confident that the program will help EHN to meet and exceed their design and testing goals."

Mikel Garbizu, associate director of ANALISIS Y SIMULACION, adds: “The new relationship between EHN and MSC.Software is very important, and throughout the local presence of an agent here in the northern part of Spain, MSC.Software is able to ensure the best support and service for the end user.”

The MSC.MasterKey License System is a renewable token-based model, enabling customers to access MSC.Software’s complete portfolio of simulation tools from a single, flexible license. Included in this industry-leading portfolio are versatile analysis tools such as MSC.Nastran, MSC.Marc, and MSC.ADAMS; specialized analysis tools such as MSC.Fatigue; modeling systems such as MSC.Patran; industry-specific tools such as MSC.ADAMS Flex/Hydraulics; and many others.
