Certification of the HP ProLiant DL145 expands performance and design flexibility for Linux-clustering

Oslo, Norway - April 21, 2004 - Scali, a leader in high performance clustering solutions, announced today it is certifying Scali ManageT and Scali MPI ConnectT for HP ProLiant DL145 servers based on AMD OpteronT processors. The software package is initially being certified for high performance Linux-clusters from HP running Gigabit Ethernet, Myrinet®, SCI and InfiniBand® interconnects.

Scali's MPI and cluster management software is designed to reduce the complexity of running a mix of leading platforms and interconnects within a high performance cluster environment. By leveraging Scali's software, customers can seamlessly integrate the AMD processor-based platform with existing systems without experiencing the traditional issues associated with introducing new standards.

The Opteron processor offers increased performance for many customers running 32-bit applications. Traditionally, these applications have been able to effectively address approximately three-quarters of the 32-bit address space. With the Opteron processor, the 32-bit application can access the full 4GB of memory when the operating system executes in the native 64-bit mode.
