    StoragePipeline.com: A research project decouples error recovery from the application to provide a self-healing management layer for IP networks.

Organizing that data into meaningful information is what document management and information retrieval systems are all about. Ensuring that those applications won't fail is the goal of one project at the University of Waterloo.
