Aspen Systems, Inc., a leader in the custom design, manufacture and service of a wide array of Linux®-based high performance computing solutions will preview a new version of ABC Management Software at the Supercomputing (SC) 2004 conference at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Aspen Systems will preview version 3.0 of its ABC Management Software in their booth number 1729.
Aspen Systems’ ABC Management Software is a turnkey, browser-based software management tool that is critical to the operation of a Linux Beowulf cluster. ABC version 3.0 offers extended capabilities, including Aspen Restore, scheduler monitoring, and disk status monitoring. The introduction of these new features allows an administrator the ability to manage disaster recovery, monitor job status, and view individual disk health form within the ABC interface.
Aspen Restore allows administrators to return a damaged node, or the entire cluster to its factory state. This feature also allows administrators to clone new nodes to match a model node, or restore a damaged node to match a model node.
With Scheduler Monitoring, administrators can now monitor jobs submitted via third party schedulers from within ABC. This interface also allows for generic job submissions.
Disk Status Monitoring is a smart interface to each hard drive that indicates the overall health of each drive.
““Due to customer demand for disaster recovery, schedule monitoring and disk status, Aspen Systems continues to develop ABC with this new 3.0 release,” stated Tom Leinberger, VP of Sales at Aspen Systems. “Aspen Systems responsiveness to our customers’ demands has led us to improve our ability to develop a turn-key solution that empowers an administrator to manage and monitor all devices within a Linux Beowulf cluster.”
Aspen Systems’ ABC Management Software version 3.0 is available immediately with prices starting as low as $100 per node.
