Penguin Computing BladeRunner Cluster-in-a-Box server system integrates blade servers, Ethernet switches, storage sub-systems, management software, and cluster operating system software in a single 4U chassis. It greatly simplifies cluster usage with easy to install, easy to manage, and easy to run cluster solutions. BladeRunner Cluster-in-a-Box is a ready-to-go cluster pre-installed with Scyld Beowulf, a full Linux distribution optimized for cluster management providing a single point of installation, login, and administration.
BladeRunner Cluster-in-a-Box is easily scalable by adding additional 4U chassis and connecting the integrated Ethernet switches. The system is designed so that all modules and sub-components are serviceable without the need for any tools. All active components offer both redundancy and hot-swap capability, enabling high availability operation as well as flexible component replacements and easy upgrades.
