ComputerWorld: Hewlett-Packard Co. yesterday announced several upgrades to its midrange storage products, including disk-to-disk or disk-to-tape backup functionality with its StorageWorks Data Protector software and its first array that can use both SCSI and Serial ATA disk.
The HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array (MSA) 1500 cs offers users tiered storage within a single enclosure with concurrent support for both SCSI and Serial ATA (SATA) behind a single controller shelf.
