HP ramps up supercomputing push in M'sia

Hewlett-Packard is claiming a string of early successes in its efforts to promote high-performance computing in Malaysia.
The company, which recently launched a package of hardware, software and services under its Unified Cluster Portfolio, is now working with Malaysia's Multimedia Development Corporation and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation on cluster computing projects in the areas of life sciences and digital content, said Raymond Victor, HP Malaysia's business manager for its Business Critical Systems division.
