PRESS RELEASE Cepoint now shipping High Performace, NEBS Teleco platform, 64-bit Fault-tolerant Resilient Enterprise Linux Server. Nashua, NH. February. 14, 2005. Cepoint Networks, LLC a high performance computing systems manufacturer began shipping its, RS1702 Linux OS, Opteron based, NEBS carrier grade enterprise server. The RS-1702 carrier grade enterprise server is a powerful, HPC (High Performance Computer) built for scalability, reliability and, enterprise clustering applications in such areas as; Telecom and Networking Real-time processing environment where NEBS (Networking Equipment Building Safety) standard or compliance is required or necessary. Measuring 2RU high, and pre-tested with carrier compliant Turbo and SUSE Enterprise Linux operating systems, the RS-1702 comes configured with 2-way AMD Opteron processors, 6-bay Ultra 320 or Serial-ATA (SATA) hard drives that can hold up to 2.4TB RAID 5 or standard storage, and up to 16GB ECC (Error correction circuitry) registered memory. Features includes: � Dual AMD (242 or higher) processors with 1MB L2 cache � 1GB ECC error correcting circuitry, Registered DRAM � Up to 6-bays Ultra320 or SATA swappable or removable HDD � Two (2 x) Gigabit Ethernet NIC ports � ATI rage Gaphics video port with 8MB � Qty (3). 64-bit PCI-X (133/100/66- MHz)expansion slots for additional I/O cards � 2U form factor with -48V DC-DC 400 watts power supply option or 110/220- V AC 460 watts redundant hot swappable power supply � Front panel Activity/Status fault LED, 1-serial port (at rear) and 2-USB 2.0 ports � Dual (2 x) Intel and Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet ports.
