Linux Networx Receives Patent for Icebox Computer Management Appliance

Icebox delivers control, convenience and manageability for Linux cluster systems

SALT LAKE CITY, Mar. 30, 2005 - Linux Networx announced today it has been granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark office (patent no. 6,862,187) for its Icebox™ computer management appliance. Built specifically for cluster systems and the only product of its kind, Icebox provides power management capabilities to meet the demands of high performance computing.

Linux Networx customers rely on the Icebox management appliance to provide exceptional cluster computing management capabilities. Linux Networx has built some of the fastest computing systems in the world using Icebox to monitor and manage thousands of compute servers or nodes.

Icebox delivers a level of control, convenience and manageability not previously available for Linux cluster systems. As the hardware portion of Linux Networx’s total cluster management tools, Icebox integrates with Clusterworx®, the award-winning Linux Networx software, to provide the most advanced Linux cluster management solution available.
