Appro Launches Ease of Use Network Attached Storage for Enterprise Mission-Critical Data Center
Posted by Maria McLaughlin, Thursday June 09 2005 @ 08:28PM EDT

Appro AR3015 NAS delivers affordable storage with enterprise-level performance, scalability and availability

Anaheim, CA - 06/13/2005 - Appro (http://www.appro.com), a leading provider of high-performance enterprise computing announces the immediate availability of its new Appro AR3015 network-attached storage (NAS) system added to the Appro Storage Family of products. The new AR3015 NAS boosts network capacity while providing simple management and redundant features. Appro will showcase its new Storage System at the Design Automation Conference (DAC), in San Diego, CA, booth number 2156.

The new AR3015 NAS is powered by Linux embedded OS with easy to use web-based storage management interface offering considerable advantages over direct-attached storage, including improved performance, scalability, reliability and availability. This storage system is ideal for data sharing and storage hungry applications in high-density environments enabling IT organizations to automate and greatly simplify their data management operations.

The Appro AR3015 NAS, 3U high-density profile storage system features up to 6 terabytes of easy-to-manage storage capacity with 15 SATA hot-swap hard disk bays, giving network administrators enterprise-level features such as data mirroring and fail-over, snapshot data recovery and UPS support for mission critical applications.

"Critical data has to be available data, and the new Appro AR3015 NAS is designed with redundant features to keep data flowing 24 hours a day," said Daniel Kim, CEO of Appro. "We're excited to provide outstanding price / performance with the new Appro AR3015 NAS to target directly the fastest growing segment of the network storage solution market and bring enterprise-level performance to midrange NAS customers.

Pricing and availability
The Appro AR3015 NAS is available now. A 2.4TB base model pricing begins at an estimated U.S. list price of $6321. Price varies depending on storage capacity.
