Quadrics, Cluster Interconnect Leader, Opens New North America Operations

Quadrics Ltd., the global leader in high speed interconnect technology products for High Performance Computing (HPC), today announced the establishment of its in North American operations. Quadrics Inc. is a fully owned subsidiary of Quadrics Ltd. Cristoforo Romanelli is Chairman and CEO of the company (Managing Director of Quadrics Ltd).

Quadrics' interconnect products are used primarily in Linux supercomputer clusters. Quadrics products run on RedHat and SuSE Linux as well as a number of vendor specific variants. Linux supercomputer clusters, using Quadrics interconnects are used by research institutions, universities and corporations for advanced scientific research.

Quadrics Inc. has been established in the U.S. to support Quadrics' revenue growth plan in the most important market for HPC cluster solutions and to provide sales support services to North American OEM Partners and Customers. The Company will lead business development and marketing programs to promote Quadrics value proposition during the technology purchase cycle.

Quadrics Inc. technical staff will enable Quadrics to provide �round-the-clock� support to its U.S. customer base and support the growing network of system integrators in design, installation and support of Quadrics cluster solutions. The company�s main office is located in San Jose, California, to be closer to the concentration of HPC end users and system integrators in the U.S.

The creation of Quadrics Inc. is aligned with the investment in development that contemplates also the creation of new R&D laboratories for new lines of products. The outcome is expected to be ready in the future months with the launching of new products.
