Cluster Resources announced this month the latest release of TORQUE. TORQUE 2.0.0p7 includes improvements in scalability, usability, and reliability. In addition, the online TORQUE documentation has been updated and the new TORQUE WIKI is also available. Cluster Resources wishes to thank all who contributed to the enhancements, updates and patches.
The new TORQUE patch includes upgrades such as:
-TORQUE.spec now has tcl/gui and wordexp enabled by default
-Enabled multiple dynamic+static generic resources per node
-Changed pbs_mkdirs to use standard var names so that chroot installs work better
“With this release [TORQUE 2.0.0p7], work has begun on TORQUE 2.1.0 with patches already contributed,” said Dave Jackson, Chief Technology Officer of Cluster Resources. “TORQUE continues to grow at a rapid pace. The month of January 2006 set another download record, exceeding the previous record by 12%.”
We recommend all sites upgrade at their convenience as TORQUE 2.0.0p7 includes further stability improvements with broad applicability. For a complete list of enhancements and patches, visit www.clusterresources.com/torquechangelog.
