QLogic Corp., the only end-to-end provider of host adapters to switched fabrics for storage and high-performance computing (HPC) networks, today announced that QLogic InfiniPath® Host Channel Adapters (HCAs), version 2.0.1 and above, will support the Intel Message Passing Interface Library (Intel MPI Library). MPI is the Message Passing Interface that programmers use to make a program run on thousands of processors, and share data and messages among them. By supporting the Intel MPI Library, QLogic HCAs now interoperate seamlessly with applications from the numerous Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) who currently test with and support the Intel MPI standard. Customers of these ISVs can now deploy those applications on top of InfiniPath HCAs to solve their most complex problems in reduced time and scale their solutions more efficiently on large clusters.
