A multiuser version of ParallelKnoppix is available for x86-64 platforms. ParallelKnoppix allows rapid creation of a HPC cluster for MPI-based parallel processing. With the new multiuser capabilities, the new version is suitable for use by small research groups or for instructional purposes.
The recent release is an alpha version, which is functional but rough around the edges. Help is sought in evaluating and improving the security model. Once the security model has been better evaluated, a more polished final version will be releases. For more information, see pareto.uab.es/mcreel/ParallelKnoppix
