Posted by Matthijs van Leeuwen, Tuesday October 09 2007 @ 03:25PM EDT

ClusterVision, specialist in supercomputer clusters, is pleased to announce that Roberto Ratti has joined its European sales force as Manager Italy. Roberto Ratti brings to ClusterVision over 10 years of experience in the Italian HPC industry.

"Roberto is the perfect candidate to introduce ClusterVision to the Italian HPC market. His many years of HPC experience in Italy, working for companies such as Cray, IBM, Silicon Graphics, and more recently, Linux Networx, will be of great benefit in his new role as Manager Italy," said Dr ir Matthijs van leeuwen, Sales Director of ClusterVision.

Roberto Ratti comments: "ClusterVision has an impressive track record in building some of the largest supercomputer clusters in Europe. There is clearly a market for such a specialist cluster company in Italy, especially after the departure of Linux Networx from the European market. I'm delighted to now be part of the ClusterVision sales team and look forward to making ClusterVision successful in the Italian market."

Roberto Ratti began is career with IBM Italy where he worked in various roles for almost 12 years. In 1993, Roberto joined Cray Research as Sales Manager Italy and stayed on when Cray was acquired by Silicon Graphics. Most recently, Roberto represented Linux Networx in Italy. His sales successes include contracts with Fiat, Agip, CINECA, ENEA, ENEL, CNR, the Ministries of Defence and Interior, and many Italian universities.
