Acceleware Announces New Vice President of Sales
Posted by Julie Morgan, Wednesday January 16 2008 @ 12:04PM EST

Acceleware Corp. (TSXV: AXE), a leading developer of high-performance computing (HPC) applications, is pleased to announce the appointment of Shawn Lorenz as the Vice President of Sales for the corporation.

With over 25 years of experience in the high tech industry, Lorenz will be responsible for growing the organization’s global sales initiatives for Acceleware’s acceleration solutions. Lorenz brings with him a proven track record of increasing revenues as well as developing, implementing and managing effective sales strategies. Previous to joining Acceleware, Shawn Lorenz held executive and director level positions with several successful companies such as EMC / Documentum, Gigaspaces, and Verity.

“Shawn Lorenz will be a great addition to Acceleware’s senior management team,” stated Sean Krakiwsky, president and CEO of Acceleware. “Shawn has successfully driven significant sales growth in his previous positions and we are confident that he will help lead Acceleware to new growth opportunities. We are excited to add his experience in growing high tech companies to our company,” added Krakiwsky.

About Acceleware Acceleware develops and markets solutions that enable software vendors to leverage heterogeneous, multi-core hardware environments without having to rewrite their applications for parallel processing. This acceleration abstraction technology results in end-users achieving significant computing speed-ups and migrating vendor applications from single-core processing to multiple-core CPUs, GPUs or other acceleration products.

Acceleware solutions are deployed by companies worldwide to accelerate computer simulation and data processing applications in areas such as electromagnetics, oil & gas, medical and security imaging, industrial and consumer product design, financial, and academic research.

Acceleware's third-generation multi-board GPU solutions can accelerate simulation and processing algorithms by over 35 times, reducing data processing from multiple hours to minutes. Acceleware is a public company on Canada's TSX Venture Exchange under the trading symbol AXE
