ClusterVision, specialist in supercomputer clusters, is pleased to announce that Sjur Fjellbirkeland has joined its European sales force as Manager Nordic Area. Sjur Fjellbirkeland will be driving sales in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, leveraging his extensive network of contacts in the High Performance Computing (HPC) market. He will be based at ClusterVision's Nordic head quarters in Oslo.

Sjur Fjellbirkeland has close to 40 years experience in the computer business, both locally and world-wide.
After graduating from Oslo University College, he worked for Texas Instruments in the Oil & Gas market in Norway, the last three years as a country manager.
Furthermore, he worked as region manager (Norway, Sweden and Russia) for Intergraph and as managing director for Merkantildata Applications.
In 1999, Sjur was appointed President at Scali, the HPC software company that developed cluster management and MPI software. More recently, Sjur worked for SGI were he was responsible for sales in the Nordic area.
